What is Managed Objects Formula?
Formula is Managed Objects platform for Business Service Management. It shows companies
precisely how the state of their technology is impacting the health of their business.
Why does Managed Objects Formula require adapters?
Adapters provide the interface between Formula and the managed objects in your environment.
An Adapter must be defined for every instance of each management system instance
of each management system integrated into Formula.
What are BSV?
Business Service View - a visio like diagram of your enterprise providing real-time
and historical views of your business processes as they relate to the underlying
Information Technology infrastructure.
What is BSLM?
Business Service Level Manager - measures service levels, and agreement health and
compliance both in real time and historically.
What is BEM?
Business Experience Manager - helps you locate the sources of problems that occur
during your customersà interactions with various parts of your system, so you can
quickly diagnose and resolve these problems.
What is EVE?
Event Integrator - gathers and processes line-oriented ASCII data, sometimes referred
to as ìraw eventsî. Raw events are alarms or informational messages that can originate
from many different sources. The Event Integrator processes the events and produces
derived events and derived alarms.
What is BDI?
Business Data Integrator - used to leverage business metrics from your databases,
including sales totals and help-desk tickets, or analytics from business intelligence
tools.
What is BTI?
Business Technology Insight - is a box that can be added to your network to continuously
discover and monitor for application components, and dependencies.
What are Business Service Dashboards (Portal)?
Service Dashboards allows you to deliver standard web-based content providing real-time
and historical views of your business processes as they relate to the underlying
Information Technology infrastructure.
What is BSCM?
Business Service Configuration Manager - allows you to manage the services that
IT delivers in order to mitigate risk, and manage the entire service cycle by providing:
- Visualization views that highlight relationships that exist in your environment.
- Service configurations to dynamically build/maintain views, a means to inject dependencies,
and correlate across silo/management source to unify objective perspective of IT.
- Discovery for hosts, services, applications, relationships, change, and Integration
with 3rd party discovery solutions
